On September 23, 2026, the eve of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen's beatification, leading Catholic scholars, clergy, and evangelists will gather in St. Louis for a one-day national conference examining Sheen's enduring vision for faith, leadership, and cultural renewal in America. Inspired by his example as a pioneering evangelist, communicator, and champion of the Catholic faith, the event invites participants to reflect on what it means to think like Sheen, pray like Sheen, suffer like Sheen, and lead like Sheen.
The conference, titled "America's Saint: The Catholic Hour is Now," will take place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Hilton St. Louis Frontenac.
Meet The Founder and President
Dr. Peter Howard
Founder of the Fulton Sheen Institute and Movement
Dr. Peter Howard resides in northern Idaho and is married to Chantal Howard. Together they
have seven beautiful children spanning twenty-one years. Dr. Howard earned his Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of St.Thomas Aquinas [Angelicum] in Rome, Italy. He is the founder and president of the Fulton Sheen Institute and the Fulton Sheen Movement.
Peter is a renowned international Catholic speaker, podcaster, scholar of Venerable Fulton J. Sheen, author, professor, theologian, Mariologist, member of the International Marian Association, and member of the Coalition of Eucharistic and Marian Apostolates (CEMA). Peter has spoken at international, national, diocesan and family conferences, Legatus Chapters, and the United States Air Force Academy. He has been featured on numerous Catholic radio, podcast and television networks.
Peter is also the founder and host of The Sheen Spotlight and The Catholic Patriot Podcast.
